Sarajevo International Airport visited by doctoral students of Technical University from Darmstadt, Germany

Sarajevo International Airport has today been visited by a group of students out of whom many are candidates for a doctor's degree and professors from Technical University from Darmstadt, Germany. As they are students of Traffic Institute which is divided in three programs: highway engineering, railways and design of communications, they were primarily interested in infrastructure projects and forthcoming extension of Terminal building and reconstruction of the runway.
As this is one of leading European universities in the field of construction engineering, the students' visit will result in research projects that will certainly be useful to construction engineers during extension of Sarajevo Airport.
Being an exceptionally demanding project, the extension of Terminal B is especially interesting in terms of research point of view given the fact that during execution of the works there must not be any delay in air traffic operations or stoppage of works.
As Sarajevo International Airport attaches importance to cooperation with academic institutions in the country and abroad, this visit is an additional affirmation of its orientation to mutual exchange of experience and implementation of knowledge and ideas of the experts from Darmstadt Technical University and Sarajevo Airport employees.
